AN EGPU On 2.5" HDD and B-key m.2?

Greetings!!

Has anyone ever thought of upgrading their laptops GPU? opening it up, and get sad because you cant?

Well i have been there one to many times!! I an laying out plans for an Egpu But more like I-EGPU ( Integrated External Graphical processing Unit) running 25W up to 35W TGP !!!!

Im going to use the MXM gpu format/standard to hopefully fit in an 2.5"HDD bay. That is without the OEM mounting bracket. Possibly having to file out or trim your laptops insides with about 1mm to incorporate these boards. Currently im going to use my dell latitude 5500 ( no dedicated GPU, core I5 8265U ) where i don't use my HDD bay.

DO You think it can work? Let me know if you are interested. With enough people loving it and have use for it, I will sell the KIT on Tindie ( Including the MXM GPU ) for a respectable price.

Let me know.

I had a VERY VERY close look at this. Designing my own GPU PCB to fit in 2.5" HDD bay would make it possible to make the GPU fit inside my laptop. But i got another idea. 90% of laptops have

Kensington Security Slot locks that we don't even use. It might be possible to add a connector Inside it to allow PCIE connectivity to an EGPU that runs on MXM modules yet again. And this should be more universal as we can add some circuitry to the EGPU to use a USB-c to charge the laptop. And use a 130-280W charger to charge the EGPU battery and the laptop altogether with a barrel jack or USB c PD 100W+
