TinyHackerHouse

A 3D model that can be sliced through a process called 'nesting', sent to a CNC Machine and constructed like a 3D Jigsaw puzzle.

The goal of this project is to introduce new skills such as 3D Printing and Advanced Manufacturing into the workforce.
The first ever TinyHouse built by Hackers and Makers, I plan to integrate the following:

- A Tesla Power wall,
- Solar Technology
- Open Source Hardware
- IoT
- Smart Aquaponics unit for growing Fruit and Vegetables

Allowing for a completely Autonomous 'Off the Grid' Sustainable living environment for my Hacker and Maker friends.

Later I would like to hold workshops educating students and low income families on how to build an affordable living space for themselves.

I will build 25 houses in 5 countries in the next 5 years. micro communities of Innovators.. Welcome to the Hacker Nomad Revolution.

  • Building a prototype with High School students

    4 weeks ago I hired 18 interns and worked with them to help me build a prototype. Last week they presented their model and we're ready to take the next step. Really excited with their progress. The LED's can be controlled with a smartphone.

www.tinyhackerhouse.com is a vision and there are many components to this project which will be uploaded at a time that's appropriate. Some of the information can be found online by running a google search since they are already open-source others are proprietary and not open to the public. 

I'll be interested in hearing more about your comments when you reach considerably beyond 2 followers. Until then please refrain from posting negative comments to my post. I'm only interested in connecting with positive people in the space at the time..

Thoughts/ideas I've lifted from the notes for my own (tiny) home:

server room style elevated floors for easy access to wiring and plumbing.

During winter months, warm air is cycled from the ceiling, heated, and blown up through the elevated floor.

water inlet line has connectors to water cool devices (computers) which partially preheats water to the water heater. A dedicated space or rack for computer hardware might simplify this.

Coax and telephone lines enter at same point which is also where cat-5e lines run to the rest of the home. (Probably at or near the same place where the water-cooling hookup is.)

hot water line to the shower is exposed through the wall to double as a copper towel rack + warmer

cold water line could double as the shower curtain rod, but the cost to benefit here might not be worth it.

washer/dryer in the bathroom because, let's face it, that's just practical.

Induction cooktop.

compost bin feeds nutrients into the hydroponics (UV pump).
