Cold Fusion Via Lattice Vibrations in N-Doped CNT

Low Energy Nuclear Reactions to Power the World.

I guess I pretty much pissed off the HAD writers as they won't feature my other projects so I guess I have no fear of this one getting out and the trolls spawn camping me.

I am going to attempt to replicate the US NAVY SPAWAR experiment but use n-doped CNT and ultrasonication to achieve a more efficient fusion reaction. Patent 8419919 describes the original invention and a video is here.

I will use CR-39 witnesses to verify alpha particle emission. There should also be neutron emission from the fusion of Deuterium and that should make larger tracks in the CR-39.

Working in this field will draw you ridicule and attract trolls. I will be simply replicating phenomena. I have a feeling that if 99% of HAD.io users were alive during the time of Orville Wright they would have laughed and pointed fingers at the fools who thought they could fly.

That being said this is a legitimate observable phenomena if you don't believe it, have fun living in a box. The experiment will use 2.0M lithium hydroxide as an electrolyte in heavy water. The electrodes will consist of nitrogen doped multiwalled carbon nanotubes bonded to stainless steel with PVDF.

I will not be doing calorimetry, as that would require a very expensive setup. I will over volt the cell to hydrolysis which will leave an excess of dueterium ions in solution and intercalate them into the cathode. At which time the cell will be placed into an ultrasonic bath and a CR-39 witness will be present to detect nuetron emission.

There will be control experiments using the same setup with distilled water, with and without sonication for to be specified time intervals.

  • Quantum Superpositions in crystal lattice

A new study on super confined water may mean deuterium is not required. My original thoughts on the subject matter was nearly this. If two hydrogen atoms condense at the same spot as the quantum waveform collapses a fusion event may occur.

This occurs as water trapped between layers of the crystalline lattice of graphite behaves in a completely non Newtonian manner. This could become a legitimate explanation for the observed phenomenon of evolution of helium in these systems.

Or I could just be a complete idiot and not understand anything, let me know in the comments below.

I have all the materials, now except a digital microscope to post picture of the x-ray/nuetron etching of the CR-39 plastic.
