First BMS Main Board populated and tested

A project log for A 110 kWh Powerbucket

The lead-acid batteries of my off-grid solar system are dead. I will replace them by a 18650 batteries stack housed in a big wooden box.

I have populated the first board tonight. Thanks to the stencil the whole process was rather fast.

The board in the oven before reflow:

The same board with the trough hole components added and the first blinky test SW successfully flashed.

On the left you can see the Raspberry Pi Zero daughter board installed on its 40 pin connector.

The board is not yet fully tested but all the "vital" functions are OK and no bug has been found so far.
