Hello dear bobricius

Thank you so much for sharing this awesome project.i love your kit because you use only 3 button instead of potentiometer.
I have a 8x8 led matrix module that drives with MAX7219 and i'll want to use it but i'm not expert in coding and can't change the code.
i want to ask you if it's possible please optimize your code for using MAX7219+arduino.
Best regards

I am sorry, I work 2 days to remove support for MAX7219 and direct dive matrix. Is no way back.

Why didn't I see that before? I've been doing a similar (albeit much simpler) thing with #Frowney. One possible software improvement: use PWM to get different shades of pixels, so that you can differentiate the different game objects better.
