BSP Sound System

Wireless Audio System using precise UWB indoor localization to provide : follow me and multi-room to users.

BSP Sound System is an audio system composed of speakers whose audio parameters depends on user indoor location.
Consequently :
• tracks
• volume, synthetizer
depends on user indoor positioning (user carries an active radio tag).

Speaker are synchronized together offering a true multi-room and follow me audio system.

Precise indoor location provided using Be Spoon 3D Real Time Location System. RTLS system is provided from speakers containing an anchor and an audio amplifier. More info here : http://bespoon.com/

System is configured using OpenHab middleware running on BSP sound box. Audio is streamed from BSP sound box to speakers over wifi network provided by BSP sound box.

Speaker and system status is displayed using speaker front side led.

Project is composed of :

BSP sound box is composed of a router and a mini PC hosting :

  • Be Spoon Indoor Localization Server
  • OpenHab Automation Server
  • Audio Server : logitech media server
  • An MQTT broker to control speaker Led

A speaker is composed of :

  • Raspberry hosting squeezelite, MQTT Client that subscribes led commands
  • RTLS anchor
