I am using epoxy resin to clue the stepper to the optical screw set. Again this might not be the best option there is, but that is the product at my disposal. This particular epoxy resin is high temperature cured, but I can only leave it at room temp since I don't want to damage any components in the stepper. Also not sure if this epoxy is strong enough to endure the force required to push the screw around. Fingers crossed!

The M3 thread screw turns out to be a very handy product. It is just a standard with plethora of mechanical components. This particular screw I used today has a female M3 thread at one end and a male M3 part on the other, it also comes with different length. I used a 10mm one as my probe holder on the scanner head. Also plan to use it as the structural support for the steppers.

Originally, the design was based on SUS 316 steel, since I want to take advantage of the heaviness of steel to minimize vibration. However, SUS 316 is a difficult material for CNC Milling Machine. Can be done, but for people with fatter wallets. Eventually, I switched to Aluminum, just because it is cheap.
