This aircraft will contain 4 or more engines, all of which can swivel between the horizontal and vertical positions, so that thrust can be directed vertically for VTOL operations or horizontal for distance flight operations. It will also have wings to produce lift in horizontal mode flight. The aircraft will be able to takeoff and land in horizontal configuration on a runway like a typical fixed wing aircraft.

The essential requirements for this aircraft are to transport 4 adults with moderate luggage at least 500 nautical miles with IFR reserves in less than 3.5 hours, safely over mountains up to 15,000 feet in height, without requiring a runway, meeting all FAA requirements for experimental aircraft.
