So... long time absence on Hackaday
For my marriage I wanted to create a Photobooth.

So I written some stuff in Python on my laptop, ported it to a OrangePi and thought.... that should work..... NOT!
I ran into numerous problems, where the GUI framework used were not hardware accelerated. Therefore an enormous amount of lag.
Or when starting recording, the amount of lag on the screen increased.

Final solution was, buy a new RPi 3B+ and the V2.1 camera.
Rewrote all the software to use PiCamera Python framework.
Added overlay's for UI and text for instructions into the overlay.

And now have a smooth, fully hardware accelerated Photobooth, that records in FullHD, and makes photos in 8MP. No lag, completely smooth
