Description

This is the *rebuild* of the Vegas smart home, having lost most of my development files.

Details

This project is starting with a proper base, a linux based router, that has all the anti phishing, anti bullcrap built-in, it should netboot stuff, serve files, and eventually run the new home automation platform.

Instead of installing all the tools to do so on a host platform, we are putting it all inside of docker.

The goal is to keep all the exposed services to a minimum, and any service that is exposed should be locked in a container, and have a restrictive apparmor profile.

github is being set up now for this.

1 × HP NC364T NIC 4 port gigabit PCIe
1 × Goliton NIC 1 port gigabit PCIe
1 × "3d sound" usb audio DAC 10 for $6 us!

Due to a combination of lack of sleep, working in dimly lit conditions, and the stress of the new baby, there was an accident.

No-one was harmed.......... unless you count Hulk, Titan, and Bench. Those are all the servers that were connected to the big boy UPS, you know, the one with 4 car batteries...
With such a high amount of amps floating around with a ****few**** unsafe spots that expose dangerous points, I guess its a good thing that's all that happened!
