This was a quick project as an exercise to get more familiar with QMK and keyboard design. My grandmother had a Brother AX-33 electronic typewriter with a trashed display controller chip so I snagged the key mechanism before sending it to the recycler.

I started out with a simple design based on Ruiqi Mao's excellent keyboard PCB guide (link: https://github.com/ruiqimao/keyboard-pcb-guide) and made some modifications for the 8x8 key matrix, lights, and alternate connectors that this keyboard uses. Some shoddy woodworking to make a stand and it's useable, but the height of the stand and high angle built into the key profile and lighting standoff make it a bit uncomfortable.
