Started to build a new controller from scratch.
I was not happy with the many electronic parts, I had to make a seperate box and lots of wires... So searching the web I came on a website https://reprapworld.com/ and find the perfect solution to control my robot, it has all the features that I wanted! :) I made a new controller box that fits all the electronics, The only seperate thing will be the power supply. In the next comming days I will make a box for it. I am very happy with this solution! Look at the site and you will see that this board has it all !!!! I added a grapical lcd display with a stepper rotary knob with integrated button to control the robot! What more do you need !!

I you have any comments or ideas, shoot !

See ya in the next comming days!

Absolutly true, but most of the robots don't use the full 360 degrees. I will make two version, this one is a compleet table version that's going to be used on demonstration fairs and schools when it's finnished.
I like the compleet board with step drivers and all the other things fit togetter, also the price isn't that high.
Ethernet, 2 usb, 2 serial ports and lot of IO makes this board exceptional powerfull! And the processor power can lead to real kinimatical calculation. My second version will have a seperate box so you can use the robot at the full 360 degrees.
I have a lot of ideas and try to make a full working model in the comming weeks... (months). I don't know, a have no time limit for the moment :)
Everything has to be good documented and followed with full video instructions.

The only thing am wondering is when you have such a big box, then you restrict a region for the robot to operate in.
