The idea behind it all.

Okay let me just start by saying I have almost no know prier knowledge of micro-electronics. I knew how to connect wires from a Arduino to a sensor and get readings, but other then that nothing. Had some basic electronics lessons back in school but nothing this complex. This has been quite a fun adventure already! If anyone sees that I made a mistake somewhere, do please tell me I really appreciate it!

Okay then the idea behind it all, Due to a head injury a couple of years back, I lost my sense of smell. At first it wasn't a big deal, but after leaving the gas stove on a few times, it really started to annoy me. And one day I was looking at GPS Smartwatches and thought to myself, "Why are these things so expensive?" and is there a way I can make one myself from scratch, and make it tailor-made to my needs. I am a software developer by trade and a InfoSec enthusiast at night, and intend to also have some fun with the wireless capabilities.

And so, this project. I'm learning as I go along with focussing first on completing the hardware. And then step by step adding the features in software. First the simple watch functionality, date, time, stopwatch, timer, alarm. After that I don't know, we'll see!

Anyway thanks for your interest in my project, I hope you will enjoy reading about it's progress!
