This is a design for an electrically powered thruster for interplanetary travel. The energy to provide the thrust is provided by solar panels or onboard nuclear power. The physics principle behind this thruster is to gain net acceleration by varying the acceleration rate of the refrigerant mass in the two phases. High acceleration of the liquid refrigerant mass in the first phase and low acceleration of the same mass ( in gaseous form) over a longer time during the recovery phase using electrically powered pumps. The difference in the acceleration rates using the same mass provides the propulsion. Net effect is a pulse jet just like a jelly fish.

The invention consists of seven major components and necessary piping. Please see the drawing. It is very similar to commercial A/C systems. The thrust will be very low but it will be constant as long as there is electricity. For a small, low mass probe, it could shorten travel time to a variety of destinations.
