Shipping time is currently less than 2 weeks. There's a limited number of boards available due to the chip shortage.

Currently, I still need to compile BOSSAC on Linux x86, finish the CAN library documentation, and make sure the core is bug-free. PlatformIO support is also pending. I'm hoping to have all of that done before the first board ships.

Will the CAN library support both CAN 1 and CAN 2? Will it also support CAN FD?

Yes, the library supports both CAN interfaces currently. I can work on CAN FD support if there's interest.

Great! Count me as interested. I ordered one to build a tool to help with my vehicle development work. Most new vehicles in my region are or are moving to CAN FD.

Thanks! I'm considering making an automotive-specific board in the future, probably a SAMC21 with an OBDII connector slapped on. Any specific features you're looking for?

I normally connect to vehicles from a breakout harness to bypass the security gateway so I'd prefer a way to connect to CAN via a DB9 or just raw pins. (I might be in the minority here)

If you aren't already accounting for it, my wish list would include a power supply that can withstand the transient voltages on the automotive 12V system. Also, a microSD card slot for data logging.
