The rig assembly

A project log for A Lithium-Ion Cell Precharger

A simple and safe trickle-charger circuit to "resurrect" otherwise dead Lithium-Ion cells.

The ordered modules were assembled on a piece of board with each module connected to an individual 18650 socket. All of the modules are powered with an LM2596 step-down module which allows for more input voltage agility for the device.

Unfortunately I have noticed that the individual modules connected in parallel cause "latching" behaviour with eachother which requires the power supply to be reset when new cells are added. This needs fixing in the individual module, I also want to make it a bit narrower to more easily glue a number of modules next to eachother. The layout of connectors could also use some optimization.

But for now the rig works as intended.
