This is my very tall, not-too-wide electronics workbench!

I used pre-built lab bench legs (~$100) and melamine boards from Home Depot. Shelving brackets and 2x3 (and a little 2x4 lumber) make up the frame holding it together. I linked the legs and melamine in the Hackaday list of materials (below)

Overall dimensions:

  • Width: 60" (5ft)
    • This is a good width, fits in small bedroom/office spaces but provides lots of room to work
  • Depth: 30"
    • This is the deepest I'd recommend, any deeper and it's too large
  • Work surface adjustable from 31" to 39" above ground
  • Top shelf (at lowest height setting): 65" above ground

Progress

The workbench is finished! But I am working on tracking down the dimensional drawing I did of it - lost it somewhere.
