JRC-1, or Josh's Retro Computer 1, is my current attempt at building an 80s-inspired home computer based on the WDC 65816. It is a direct successor to my COLE-2 project. Unlike it's predecessor, it favors expandability over built-in features. This made the project simpler to design and build, and gives me the ability to experiment wit new features via add-on cards.

The hardware design was finalized and the build completed in December of 2021. Currently I am actively working on a full ROM-based OS.
