Before all-time greats Michael Jordan, Lebron James, and Larry Bird ever held a basketball, the art of refereeing had been created. And ever since then, bad calls have changed the outcomes of historical games. So I decided to create an AI-powered basketball referee. It uses python Open-CV computer vision to detect the ball dribbling and a custom-made pedometer to detect steps being taken. Then it combines the 2 data sets to detect traveling.
