The desk uses flimsy top mounted hinges that makes the desk part that folds out sway and not feel stable. Reinforcement is needed to make the desk a more practical load bearing furniture.

Support from underneath is needed and there are two criteria of function besides enough strength: retracted when folded and automatically applied when folding/unfolding.

After some ideas were revised the current plan is to use two custom made stainless steel flat bars (about 2x20x500mm) that operates from existing screws in foldable part to new fixtures in desk legs.
