June 22, 2017 - The move is done and IO is alive and well

A project log for The Cardboard Computer - IO is my name

My goal is a 4-bit CPU using recycled cardboard substrate and Diode Transistor Logic. This is an educational platform for me.

I have spent the past month making a move to a new home here on the North Carolina coast and am glad to report that IO has survived the trip. I am now getting the work table and IO set up and ready to continue melting solder :-)

Nice to see it unboxed and back in action. :-)

Wow, it's looking more and more like a "real" computer - lights and wires and all the other good stuff the modern ones lack!

Thanks Dave, Lost my train of thought with IO while moving but need to focus on the next phase whatever it is :-) Being there is a servo used on the display and it does move, It will make a rather strange entry for this part of the contest  If I can control more than one servo then there might be a robotic arm or x/y plotter in the future....
