The seat is mould damaged but cleaned up nicely with a few blemishes, scratches, etc., but it's electric and heated. I wanted to retain these functions.

Finding information online about other people doing this was surprisingly scarce, usually just for projects using manual seats. So I wanted to post a more recent "guide" with the information I've found and will find (where I will hopefully show how to probe the CAN bus on a car to find commands I am looking for, to send to the seat to control it) and hopefully others can follow the same method to create their own.
