Interested can take a look how the PCB is made. Due to the consistent use of open source tools, no proprietary programs have to be installed.  All vector graphics were created and edited with Inscape. The PCB itself was created with KiCad. All required files are available in a GitHub repo to create the manufacturing files (gerber files) of the badge, for example. The vector graphics (SVG files) can also be customized to create your own badge on them. Absolutely, for experienced ones all this is no rocket science. The intention was much more to demonstrate the whole process how a PCB is designed and how it can be soldered at the end. We want to address everyone from young to old. The newest details about the board like BOM and the corresponding assembly instructions can be found in the GitHub repo linked above.
