Since this is a scrap part build, I'm using knockoff cherry mx browns from an old mechanical keyboard I picked up years ago and stopped using due to going to ortho layout and wanting something loud. 

The 5 way switch was ordered off of amazon:

and the plate was whipped up in onshape:

I also figured out how to do a simple timelapse using imagemagic:

The keys are friction fit for now, the 5 way is superglued into the trough.  I've got an ergo mod I will do after I get the keyboard working as a proof of concept.   Now I just need to go through my microcontroller inventory to see what I can use
