Well, the Brainwarp panel using magnetic placed instruction cards has hit a major snag. The card contacts do not make contact as consistently as I need so a re-do is needed.

I have come up with a back-plane with edge card connectors that will be used for the instruction cards. All while still using cardboard and paper fastener construction. Lots of hot melt glue is used for this build...

Well, here is the finished Back-plane with 16 four bit ROM slots. Next is to wire up some more ROM cards and the address logic board and it's all set.

Here is the basic layout for the ROM logic board. The ROM back plane will mount above.

I was talking with Jez Morningstar and at the slower speed of IO I could generate Morse code as an output then have my netbook read the code or just copy the code in my head as I usually do. With an actual monitor then perhaps a Slow Scan image could be sent to a long persistence ham radio monitor from the old days :-)

It's either that or stick with the led display .

Another thought was to use an older electric typewriter to patch into :-) kind of like an older teletype like the model 55 I once had.

I have an idea for the LED type monitor, I used them once for a project a few years ago, they are very small but I'd say in a matrix of about 100 and since they have a clear window, they would project a clearer image.
