A project log for LAMEBOY - another ESP12 handheld

fully portable ESP12 project with battery charging and power muxing

Parts are ordered, some of them over eBay, some of them "locally" at voelkner.de - they're basically conrad.de but with a different pricing ethos and a flatrate for shipping. The almost most expensive part I've ordered there, the TPS2113A for power muxing. Boards are ordered at @oshpark as well and with a little help they might be here even sooner :) Also, first time order at https://www.oshstencils.com/

Really looking forward to seeing these boards populated :-)

Will it fit in a standard GB case buddy?

Hehe thanks :) it'll fit about four times - it's tiny ;) about 45mm x 67mm. I'll probably design and print a case.

Ah great stuff! I know how big most of the components are but I couldn't get my head around what size it would be ha ha. I look forward to seeing your case designs too :)

That is a lot of connectors all around the edge!

No concerns, I just noticed because I recently struggled finding a place for the power switch myself.

yeah, I definitely had to wiggle stuff around, but there is a bit more space on a 46mm x 67mm board then on my usual tiny stuff ;) I see three more spots where I could put some ICs :D

If you really needed space, you could move stuff like the pullup resistors on the front side. Could simplify routing a bit too.
