I love the concept, as well as the results you have so far, but I find one thing mildly irritating - no clearance around PCB mounting holes.

You are not alone, I see it very often; the screws/bolts tend to chew into soldermask, uncovering the bare copper - allowing oxidation to digest the copper slowly - and may cause shorts or cutting tracers, if there are nearby. It is good to either leave clearance around the holes (like guys at raspberry pi did it)- www.raspberrypi.org/app/uploads/2017/05/Raspberry-Pi-3-1-1619x1080.jpg

or use via to make the actual hole, with appropriate outed diameter, as I did it here, for example - snag.gy/A4bk7j.jpg

I use 3,2/6mm for M3 bolts or 2,7/5,5 for M2,5 bolts. Using vias for mounting holes I can decide whether to connect the vias to some other net (for grounding) or leave unconnected and PCB CAD will watch for proper clearance from other traces.

Anyway, thumbs up for this project.

Hey Jaromir, thank you for the feedback :) The screw holes are all 2.2mm for M2 bolts and the upper ones are in the "no copper because antenna"-area anyways. I've added two restriction circles of 2.5mm radius around the bottom hole (top&bottom layer) for the revision boards. I want them to stay purple, just for the look.

I saw some vias (are those vias?) around the hole on bottom right corner and I got triggered ;-) The purple mask is really strong, covering details.

And thanks for the tip to TPS2113A, looks like IC I needed many times.

@jaromir.sukuba  the vias are moved too ;) I saw this chip being used by @David Watts  on a livestream and thought that this chip might be better than a diode solution.

I love it! That corner that holds down the board is genius. I've never made a full game nor have I picked up an ARDUBOY, but I'd love to make something on the LAMEBOY. I have a great idea for the RGG backlighting!

hehe thanks, sometimes necessity is the mother of invention ;) There was just no space for another screwhole. I will make some boards once I've finished the revision boards and software, then I'll get back to people who expressed interest :)

Please do, I'll be keeping an eye on the project. I'm excited to see where you take it next!
