It looks like the input to U5 (the SN74LVC1G07 buffer for JTAG_TRST_N is floating.  What prevents it from floating low and triggering a reset?  With the high input impedance of this chip, it seems like you could trigger this by just putting one finger on this pin and another on GND.

Depends on what you are using to drive the JTAG. If you use the dual FTDI it works without a pull-up. But when I used the PocketBeagle to jam the JTAG, I had to pull the line up to 3.3V with an external resistor.

Oh you mean when the JTAG is not connected. It is open drain.

The output is open drain, but what about the input of U5?  Can't that drift low, which would force the output low as well?

Very nice. I really wanted to get a project going using this chip, so I emailed sifive at their listed email address to ask about availability. This was almost two months ago... still unanswered. Looking forward to seeing how this goes.
