When my sister's dehumidifier stopped working, she asked me to take a look at it. The front panel buttons weren't responding. People had been pushing too hard on them, causing the electrical switches on the underlying PCB to fail. The problem was the switches were surface mounted and the solder joints cracked. The solution was to print these cones to allow the buttons to be pressed, but distributing the force over a larger area to protect the PCB from being bent.
