This project is based off of a demonstration video by Kevin Darrah in which he used tactile buttons to manually operate a shift register. I found that video to be very interesting and I got a little obsessed with shift registers and all of the possibilities that they present. It was difficult to express the interest I had, and I kept thinking back to that video I watched, which made me want to create a small device (almost a toy) to mimic the breadboarded circuit in the video.
