A+ PirateBox

Simple pirate box build

Similar projects worth following
Had an A+ sitting around and decided to put it to work!

Build was done in a few hours, the code was kind of a paint to get right since the a+ only has the one usb and not ethernet... come to think of it, probably wouldve been a ton easier if i did the software on a b+ then just moved the card :P

this baby is dirt simple, i just wanted a random offline file drop to leave open around my neighborhood and see who ventured in.

All tied together with beautiful electric tape and finished off with a shutdown button tied to GPIO #17 and a ground for nice headless use.

I changed up my dnsmasq conf tonight so that anybody randomly hopping on it will have all their web requests redirected straight to my box!

i used the piratebox.cc config so it has a chat, imageboard, and file store, and so far not yet. The way its configured OTB, you have to go to 192.168.77.1 to see the web interface, im going to alter the dns now so that no matter what you put in the address bar, it kicks you to the Pi then we'll see!

There's a fair amount of old people in my apartment area but im defiitely curious to see who finds the chat box and plays

What did you use for serving up the files and did anyone connect?
