Have completed the first test scan with my 3D scanner - the scanner only has Windows drivers and software (??) - and couldn't get it to work using Parallels. So bought a crappy 2nd hand Windows 8 laptop and got the scanner working. Here is the set up - rather gruesome with the resuscitation mannikin head...and not really practical for scanning a preterm infant (webcam and handheld laser). I might look at hacking a older Microsoft kinect I bought on eBay for $30 to do the same job - (Open Kinect for Processing).
