I undertook a side journey to make my perfect mechanical keyboard. Thousands of dollars and 3d printers, laser cutters, USB HID specs, and many custom PCB revs later, I have created one (actually a few). A design that has a fully customizable, hardware switched key layout, has integrated XY cursor and XY scroll stick, has a series of foot pedals for mapping to mouse click or macro calls. I like it and use it as my dedicated board.
