I co-designed and led this projevct with Andy Tibbetts, and it was realized by a Portland-based team. The heart was built with 1/4" mild steel pin rod, rolled and cut into rings and "c" shapes, which were welded together over a plaster and plywood heart-shaped base. We chose a true red powdercoat finish, and added plexiglass donut discs for light play. It is lit with incandescent lights, controlled by a Teensy (electronics built by Paul Stoffregen).
