License update

A project log for ELLO 2M

This log is probably a little overdue and people already know this, but in case anyone has missed it - I have managed to negotiate the licensing conditions for MMbasic for ELLO. So no more issues on that front, whoohooo!

Ah, did I mention the packaging carton box? Yes, there will be one. The design is probably slightly simplistic and controversial, that's the way I like it to be :)

Out of curiosity, would it be possible for you to share what sort of licensing conditions you obtained?

The license allows a customised version of MMBasic for distribution with the ELLO systems.
Additional features to the language should be approved first by Geoff Graham and he can block the implementation of any of them.
I need to provide him with sources for those additional features, and he will provide sources of MMbasic to me for new releases.
He can decide what to include in his 'mainstream' release and what not.

There are a few other smaller conditions. Generally speaking the license is a bit restrictive, but it is the best I was able to negotiate and is fine for the needs. Of course I would have been much happier using a fully open source implementation (that might happen in future), but I also like MMbasic and didn't want to lose its power over small politics
