1 × Sciclone ALH 3000 Advanced Liquid Handling System I purchased this expensive machine from an online auction of a pharmaceutical company liquidation for only $100 plus shipping from NJ to MA. I am going to pick it up in about two weeks. When I get it home, I will need to examine the machine to see what kind of motors, sensors and capabilities it is equipped with. Since its original purpose was to manipulate samples that were only 6” high, I’ll have to disassemble the vertical column to convert it for 3D printing & scanning, for which I’ll want to use the entire 28” vertical height capability. Since this system has so amazingly tight tolerances, it should be able to print & scan very high resolution objects, so I think I should invest in high-grade printing heads - yes, I am thinking about multiple print heads, perhaps using 2 or 3 colors and even a fiberglass or carbon fiber spooling configuration to help reinforce the objects.
